Droid X won't charge on USB after .605 update

So I just got the .605 update within the last week.  One thing I noticed is, my X will not charge via the usb cable plugged into the computer anymore.  It shows that it is charging, the little battery charge animation is working, but no matter how long I leave it connected to the computer, it won't charge.  If it's at 50%, it stays there regardless of how long I leave it connected.  Nothing has changed other than the update (same cables, same computer, same usb port, etc).

Prior to the update this is the only way I ever charged my phone.  Now I have to plug it in the wall to charge it.  And when it's connected to the computer, the back side gets quite warm...

There are a few other things (apps) that got squirrely after the update but this charging issue is what I would most like to resolve.

Thanks in advance for any help with this issue...

Strange ..  I would first boot into SAFE MODE, just to rule out any possible rogue 3rd party APPS ... and plug it in THAT way and see what happens.  The fact that it's getting "warm to the touch" tells me that just maybe there is some APP "spinning" away in the background that is not allowig the battery to fully charge. Also, have you tried a Battery Pull?

Try this ---

- Power Off

- Press and Hold the MENU button (far left button)

- Power up the phone, but continue to hold the Menu button down for 1-2 mins.

Phone will come up and say SAFE MODe in lower left corner..  Plug it into your USB port and see what happens. If it charges successfully and is no longer "warm", then we need to try to figure out which APP is causing your issue.   Maybe do a CLEAR CACHE procedure at this point as well ...

let us know.

Out of curiousity, why did you and do you charge it using the computer? First, even at the best of times, it takes much longer to charge, and two, even when the battery says 100% it really isn't 100%. IMHO, this is probably the worst way to charge your Droid, or any phone for that matter. But to each their own, I guess.
