I have a Droid X device and when I connect it to most computers it won't charge. I have the setting set to "Charge Only" but still won't charge. I have only come accross two computers that will charge the phone. Is there something else that I need to do? Other settings? Please help!

No. All you have to do is plug device into computer and select Charge only, do you have issue using the Mass Storage option also?  The only thing I can think of is the driver for the device isnt installed or you are looking at a bad cable, have you tried to charge it with the wall plug?

Also keep in mind that if the device gets completly discharged to point it powers off, you have to use a wall charger because the usb does not supply enough power to revive the unit under this kind of situation.

try another usb port.  confirm the port is bad by plugging another usb appliance in.

Are you using the charger that came with the phone?  Sometimes, the 'generic' USB chargers aren't able to keep up with the charging needs of the X.

Are you using an older computer?  I can't help but think that some older USB ports may not be strong enough...or even broken.
