Droid X2 Question

I've upgraded to the X2 from the original Droid...big change for the good!!  However, finding some things in mail don't work the same way.  On my Droid, my RoadRunner e-mail (pop3) account would down load my mail ok, but then deleting messages required I manually  (one by one) send them into the bit bucket.  However, if I also connected to RR from my home system and opened the same mail, the Droid would automatically delete them.  That worked well for me, but it doesn't work that way with the X2.  I now have to delete everything manually from the X2.  Is there a setting or ??? that needs checked to get the X2 to respond the same way?  Does the X work the same way?  Any assistance greatly appreciated.  Great phone BTW.  THe old Droid was dropping calls (the radios take a big hit with lots of use...18 months worth!!) sound quality much better too.

from within the rr account/menu select all, menu delete.
