JB32, thank you for your inquiry. You stated you were trying to pair your phone with your computer, but then mention plugging it in. Are you trying to pair via Bluetooth or sync info via a cable? For syncing via cable, make sure you enable USB mass storage on your Droid X. This should allow your computer to detect your phone as a storage device.
