Droid camera auto-focus

The auto-focus on my Droid has stopped working.  It was fine for months and now I get the red corners when I try to take a picture.

Hi.  I understand you are having issues with the auto focus on your camera.  I will be happy to look into this issue for you.   You can try to dial *228 option 1 to program your phone again.  You can also try to do a soft reset on your phone by taking your battery out and putting it back. 

 

Did you download any applications before it stopped working properly?

Tried both and nothing works. I've searched Google high and low and no one seems to know anything but I know that tons of people are having this issue. I use my camera all the time and this really really sucks

Bump

 

I'm going to need an answer from Verizon here on this one. I am about to throw my driod back through a store window if no one can find an answer for me. This phone was too much money for the camera to not work. Come on I've only see about 10,000 posts about the auto focus on google. What's the problem how do I fix it
