Droid routinely places random calls

I'm at a loss for words. My Droid will just call people from my call log or actually just Contacts. It's placed random calls while I've been surfing, in the middle of the night as it sits locked, or if I've just finished with a call and placed it on the table.

I went into a VZW the other day, and they reset the thing. It's still doing it.

What do I do?

I've searched enough on the internet to know this is a problem with the phone itself, and not 'flukish' to my phone. I don't want to replace this thing with another problem Droid.

I want out of this phone, and I want a different smart phone all together. There is NO user behavior here causing this. I am not using some after-market cord. This is happening anywhere, whenever. Plugged into VZW chargers or not.

Anybody else experiencing this issue?

I'm having the same problem. People on my contact list keep calling me asking why I called them when I never did!!

It seems totally random, sometimes when its on charge and sometimes when its just sitting on my desk

I don't know if this will help or not, but my phone has never done this in 17 months. When I finish making a call, I am careful to click end and then exit to the home page. Then, I blacken the screen before putting the phone back in my pocket, on a table, or into the charging station.

When your phone is in your pocket, you could hit the sleep/power button which would turn the screen, then the heat from your leg can hit EMERGENCY CALL and enter a number, then call it. But if it does it while in your hand or set on a table or somewhere than I don't know.
