Droid x fails to download or update from market with 3g. Only downloads with wifi.

This has been going on for about a month for me as well ...  An Update won't get to the "ACCEPT" screen but rather hangs on "LOADING".  I usually just ignore it and try the next day and most times it will work. For something I really want, I'll just UNINSTALL it, reboot, and redownload it ... that normally works.  But I agree, this has been a bit annoying and does not do this for ALL of my APPS.  (I've even cleraed cache for MARKET - which had no effect on the problem.)

My Droid x does not update or download any apps or updates from the market. It will do both using wifi. I also have cleared the cache and rebooted and it didnt help. This is very frustrating. Thanks for any ideas people my have.

Has it ALWAYS behaved that way? It should at least download over 3G *most* of the time (see previous).

 

Check :   Menu / Settings / Battery & Data Manager / Data Delivery -  make sure all 3 are selected (at least Background Data & Data Enabled)

I've had this happen to me once or twice as well Cody but i have been using my Wi-Fi most of the time Now since i got my New NetGear Router an with that. The droids have done real well while downloading Apps an my X i got the new 3.3.11 update about 5 days ago an My Inc i got it just Tonight but things seem so far to be moving smoothly the only issues i've had is on My Inc. when streaming Winamp with the New updates it wanted to skipp that is untill an this may sound weired i left the Display on. Yes i said left on!  i had it on for thirty minutes an No skipping once the display got to the end of the 30 min. an went back to black or timed out the skipping re-appeared that is untill i plug it in then the skipping stopped an streamed smoothly Puzzled i am an so is the Tecks at Winamp. But i've since went back to 1.1.1 an it has gotten alittle better streaming with out being plugged in. :smileyvery-happy: B33

Also check under "Data Saver".  If this is checked, then your phone will only download if connected to wifi.
