Duplicate contacts for new message.

I have a customer with a Samsung Charge that we transfered his contacts over with cellebrite. He came in today asking about an issue, if you go to his contacts, it shows normally and there are no problems. But if you go to messaging>new message>contacts, it shows 2 or 3 of every contact. Is there a fix for this, or is it a known issue?

No this is not a known issue. Besides of course deleting the duplicates there is one thing I can think of that may assist. If there are contacts on the sim card as well as the phone memory then duplicates may appear in the new message contact area. Try navigating to the contacts icon>menu>more>display options and mark phone contacts only. If that does not assist you may have to mark sim contacts only and delete all the contacts on the sim and then go back and mark phone contacts only. If you need to attempt that last option there make sure all the contacts wanted are saved to the phone memory first.
