E-Mail - delete from server option

As we know, the default e-mail application on Froyo won't delete messages from a POP3 server. I like the interface on the default application better than I do K9 and MailDroid. So I'm hoping someone (Verizon/Motorola/Google) will issue a fix and push it to my phone.
I'm new to the Verizon and Droid world, so I'm wondering:
-Can I expect a fix?
-If so, any guess as to when?
-Are fixes pushed automatically?
-Will I know that a fix has been pushed?
-Is there anything I can do to encourage a fix?
I'd appreciate your experience and suggestions.
Thank you in advance,
Andrew

They have already pushed out one fix, so I am hopeful that there will be others, especially to take care of the reception problem.
As far as the delete from server option, I would love that too as I too like the default app. Until then however you still have a choice.
What I did was create a gmail account. I have that account retreive my roadrunner emails and remove them from my roadrunner server having them only on gmail.
I use the gmail app on my Droid and it will delete from gmail's server. I can send email from gmail as my roadrunner account.

I just realized that not all ISP's allows gmail to disguise itself. When I send an email from my Droid to my work email or my girlfriend's work email, it shows as as from my gmail account, but when you reply it goes to my roadrunner account.
It has already confused a few people because they think they need to reply to my gmail account.
If there was just a decent, fully functional email app for android, that would make me a much happier person.
Before anyone mentions K9, I've tried it. It doesn't allow me to create folders and it doesn't allow me to move emails between the folders that it does use.
