Just got my new Droid X. Previously had the BlackBerry Storm. I use my hotmail e-mail account and on my Storm I was able to delete e-mail from the server from the phone. I haven't figured out how to do that on the Droid... anyone have any suggestions???
Unfortunately, that is one of the shortcomings of the Droid X. You cannot remove email from the server by simply removing it from your Droid X.
Try setting up your email in IMAP instead of POP.
