Accidently, I typed in @gmail.comr when setting up an event on my calendar. Now, it only wants to use this faulty address, and of course, I get notification that it will not work. I did a search, but this seems to be a unique problem. Does anybody know how to delete addresses? Wildman, Cody, anyone?

That's a good point ... There really is no harm in just deleting the account and re-adding it ... because it's all maintained up on Google anyway and just gets re-synced to the phone... So that might be a good thing to try.

Can you be more specific re: " typed in @gmail.comr when setting up an event on my calendar. "
What steps did you do to enter that? I don't see an option to enter a suffix like that...

why did you need to type in anything to get to the calendar, when the gmail account is already setup?

I do it a bit different. I open up my calendar on my Droid X, not my computer to check a few things, then enter any new event. When you open up it asks What (Event subject), Who...and it is here where you type the address. By accident, I typed comr. Now it only pulls up that errored address. I want to get rid of it. I've searched all over but can not find where such addresses are stored where I can delete them. Any clues on where they are?

@mortb -- Ah, I see what you mean ... I sort of recall there was a way to find old email "histories" but for the life of me can't find it .. Not sure if it went away in GB or not. I know that you can go into individual CONTACTS and CLEAR HISTORY one at a time. Did that email address (.comr) end up some place in your Contacts or Email ??? Another thought might be to CLEAR the CACHE in the various CALENDAR services - but it may wipe out your calanedar data from previous months -- which you cannot get back even if the data is in GMAIL.

I went into Manage Applications in Settings and tapped on calendar and everything connected with calendar. All caches were zero. Truthfully, I went into almost all files in Settings but found nothing that will help me get rid of my faulty finger and the r it typed in. I wonder if deleting the Gmail account and re-installing it would help?

Looks like he fixed it by deleting and re-adding his GMAIL account ..
