I know that I had seen this on the Verizon site and should have printed it but??? It stated that if your contract was up in 2010, you would be able to upgrade to the Droid X with out penalty? Can anyone verify this? It is all over the net but I can no longer find it on Verizon's site. It's like they deleted it!

Yes this has been reported and Verizon is actually reporting doing this, but what I was told by onerep is that they will charge you a 20 early renewal free and others said no update charge. I will see on the 15th when the Droid X comes out if they are charging the fee.

If your contract end date (this is the 24 month end date, not the 20 month early upgrade date) is in 2010, then you can upgrade to the Droid X at the $199 price (after MIB) on July 15th. I'm not a Verizon employee, so as such, I carry no official weight, but this is the way I understand it to be.
I'm Patiently/Impatiently waiting for the release of the Droid X!
