Earpiece volume too low?

Greetings all.  New Verizon customer and first time poster.  Just came over from Nextel and got a fancy Incredible 2.  Problem I am having is that I work outdoors and I can barely hear who I am talking to.  I can hear the ringer volume fine, its just that when on a call or checking voicemail I can barely hear anything at all even at max volume.  Is it that I am too used to Nextel's loud phones?

Anyone have any suggestions for a Verizon phone that is just as loud as Nextel phones?

Thank you in advance

J

I have this problem too on the Inc 2, but I've been living with it for five months. If it won't work for you, you can exchange for something else within 14 days. You may want to make test calls in the store before committing to a different phone, because you can only exchange once.

I'm not sure what to recommend. I used a BlackBerry for three years before this, and it had excellent call volume and quality, but I haven't used any of the newer phones besides my Inc. I hope you find a solution.

Both my husband and I got this phone a couple of months ago now and are very unhappy. Earpiece volume being too low is one of our complaints also!

When I got mine, I turned on "Hearing Aids" under Setting - Call, since it says it will "amplify in-call volume". It actually LOWERS the volume, so it is worth checking it.
