Not sure where to post, but the CEO of our company has had an ongoing issue with his Droid X, and actually I suspect it being a phone network problem. On a consistent basis when he travels from our office to his weekend home about 100 miles from us, his phone loses the POP3 email settings for our company email which is setup on his phone. The account settings appear normal, yet we have to re-enter them and then turn the phone off and on again in order to get the email to go through. VERY FRUSTRATING. Anyone else have this issue? Specifically we are traveling from Birmingham, AL to Selma, AL. There is nothing he is doing to his phone causing the issue and it is not the email account as we have other users on the Verizon network in the area that do not have the problem, though they do not travel that route.
I would GREATLY appreciate hearing from anyone as Verizon customer service at the local store claims they have never heard of the issue.

Is the account configured with a secure access authentication required or is this just a basic ISP email account?

The information is related to out going server access port.... They didnt report that they couldnt send emails they said that they are not able to retrieve mail from accounts from time to time until they delete and add account again... This sounds like a account verification issue and if this is a secure connection this may explain the communication issue.

lack of verification shouldn't require account to be reset, mail just stays in outbox.
