It's not just yahoo either. Everyone I know that has a Droid their email has stopped syncing as well. My email was synced to Exchange but it no longer works. I have downloaded the TouchDown app which has a 30 day free trial  but refuse to pay once the 30 days is up since email syncing is why I bought this phone! FRUSTRATING!!

I'm hoping Motorola and/or Verizon send out an update soon that fixes this problem!!

I have not had issues with email syncing. I know Yahoo can be a bit finicky. But since I am not using Yahoo, I can't offer much help

I too have been having issues with both my yahoo and my gmail, I am not receiving notification of new messages.  This issue just started, and I have both accounts set up to notify in the status bar.  It is very frustrating.

First power the phone off and then back on.

Then dial *228 send and option 1 on the phone.

Try changing the email  sync settings.

From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located in the lower-left).
Touch Gmail.
Touch Menu.
Touch Accounts.
Touch Menu.
Touch Account Settings.
If desired, touch Background data to enable applications to sync, send and receive data at any time.
Background data is enabled if a green check mark is present.
If desired, touch Auto-sync to enable data to sync automatically.
Auto-sync is enabled if a green check mark is present.
For the Yahoo account,  if the problems persist, you might want to remove the account from the phone, then set it back up.
1: From the home screen, open the Applications Tray by touching, and then touch Mail.
2: Select Other (POP3/IMAP).
3: Enter your Email address and Password then select Next
4: Enter a name for your account, the name to be displayed on outgoing messages then select Finish Setup.  Your account is set up and your Inbox
will be displayed. If prompted for the type of account go to step 5.
5: Select POP or IMAP and enter your Incoming Server Settings.
Then select Next.*
6: Enter the Outgoing Server Settings. Then select Next.*
7: Enter a name for your account, the name to be displayed on
outgoing messages then select Finish Setup. Your account is now set up and your Inbox will be displayed.
