Email problems-

I am having problems viewing my email accounts. About a week ago I stopped getting updates on my phone. I can go to the accounts option and open them, but there are  no new updated emails & it wont stay open, it closes down.

This worked for me when I had problems getting Email. I deleted the accounts and reinstalled them. No problem since. If you want to do this, I suggest going into the account settings and writting down all the information such as server, port number, etc. Hope this helps.

I was unable to receive emails via my HTC Incredible yesterday and called for help.  After many attempts the help desk from Verizon gave up and told me to contact my service provider.  She kept saying it must be an issue from their end but I knew that wasn't the case as I was able to send/receive emails from my laptop.  Anyway, after about 10 attempts to delete and readd back in my email account it finally went thru and I was getting emails all last night and this morning.  Then all of a sudden no more emails.  Again, the same issue.  I tried deleting the email account and resetting it up but it isn't working today.   I called the help desk again and she had me do some additional troubleshooting but still nothing.  She advised me to call my service provider to see what the settings are.  The settings are provided on the website so I tried it one more time and still nothing.  I am pretty frustrated at this point and am looking for any suggestions as to what to do next.  What I don't understand is why it finally worked last night and then quit on me today.

My son did the same for my phone, he deleted my mail acct and reloaded and now all works fine.
