Facebook quirks

oftentimes, when i unlock my phone i am prompted to sign into facebook. this happens over and over throughout the day. is there a way to stay signed in? also, i am unable to post updates on facebook through the app itself. it gives me a network error message. 

 

is anyone else experiencing anything similar, and does anyone have a fix for this problem?

Wow, that seems pretty drastic, but glad it worked for you..

 

I had another thought for the OP.  How about going into SETTINGS /MANAGE APPLICATIONS  ... then click on Facebook.  From there you can CLEAR DATA and/or CLEAR CACHE  ... I would suggest just doing 1  (Clear Cache) and testing rather than BOTH at the same time -- just so you can report back what fixed your problem (for the benefit of others) ...  My GUESS is that when you clear one of them, the next time you launch FB, you will probably be prompted for the LOGIN information again.  Good luck.

Sounds like you have an Account setting that is incorrect for your Userid & Password ... Which FB App are you using?

i believe it's the actual facebook app from facebook. how do i fix? extremely annoying...

I would Uninstall the APP and re-download & install it ...  and make sure you enter the correct Login information the 1st time when you launch it ... It really does sound like you might have incorrect credentials entered...

Well, not sure what to suggest ...  that is very strange and should not work that way if you have all the login credentials correctly set ...  Maybe try a 3rd party APP, like Tweetdeck or something? Just to finger the stock FB app as the problem vs. your account settings.

 

Anyone else have any suggestions?

I had to close my Facebook account and open a new one, using my gmail account address. I also uninstalled all the facebook applications and then reloaded them on the phone and used my new Facebook account information. This resolved all my problems
