Feedback from soak test?

Anybody heard any news or feedback after Motorola invited few users to their soak test? All the forums that I know went pretty quiet after the soak test invitation by Motorola? I am hoping there would be an OTA update very soon but there is no news at all anywhere now.

Have you tried the Motorola Forum because usually the rules for being involved in programs such as those is that you can not release any information on the outcome of the test untell instructed, so if they still follow the old methods you wont hear much if testers follow the policies..

I did not see anything at Motorola forums and I don't expect the test participants to post anything over there. It would be easy for Motorola to identify who is leaking the info if someone posts there. Anyway, more than the tests itself, I am looking for any news on the timeline in OTA update releases after the soak test.

I live in Chicago area and my phone had data connection issues several times in a day. It was like that since the 3 or 4th day of buying the phone. Now I came to Las Vegas for a week and funny thing is there was not even a single instance of my phone loosing the data connection. So, I am beggining to wonder if it the Motorola issue or the Verizon 4G network issue?

Too little too late UNLESS the OTA contains ICS.  Immoral/unethical to leave all of us with problems with those problems for this extended period of time.
Can you hear me now VZW?

I agree. Too little too late.It is easy to see how one could end up hating Verizon. As big as they are, this will and should hurt them.

im with you guys...threw my bionic away, felt guilty actually charging anyone for it (didnt want that guilt of taking someones money for a subpar device) so i am back on the incredible 2. the delay of the supposed update which will be delayed again most likely, yet, the release of the RAZR is a big FU from Motorola.

thanks for making us feel all warm and fuzzy inside! lol

I tried and tried with the Bionic, but it took an iPhone from Verizon to make me warm and fuzzy.

What do either of these responses have to do with "Feedback from soak test?"

Nothing, right?

So...you don't know how forums work.  You see:  Every thread has a subject -- see how that works?  And they're not all "I want to whine about this phone"

Or maybe it's just another example of rampant ADD and the inability to focus on a subject.

Either way, it contributes nothing to the forum -- it doesn't even help the whiners.

Oh, please get off yer high horse and pontificate at someone who cares. And you are really walking on thin ice when talking about whiners. That's really rich.

Grow up. Topic swerve is a fact of life on forums (but I'M the one that doesn't know how forums work). Love it or leave it. I will do neither and you can do absolutely nothing about it, except to whine some more.

Seems like the subject of this thread was "soak test". Perhaps, another thread should be started in a different, appropriate section of the forum. You have done the very thing you are complaining about. "People that live in glass houses........"

As for "whiners" about their phones, you also missed the boat on this one. Perhaps you think rebooting, locking up, slow response, etc. are perfectly normal and perfectly acceptable and folks should shut up and enjoy their "satisfying" Android experience. That is as ridiculous as expecting people to never stray off topic in a public discussion forum. ADD is not in play here. Perhaps OCD and if the shoe fits................

{please keep your posts courteous} Relax, it's a forum. People go off topic sometimes.

I participated in a soak for GB with my Droid X (different phone, still Moto, so I think it's relevant).

The process left a lot to be desired. I found it to be basically a test to see if there were a plethora of phones crashing and when that didn't happen, they released it warts and all within days. And, feedback was provided about issues...........

So, if there is a soak test going on, or imminent, past experience hints your update will follow soon.

There is actually a late build OTA circulating that was snagged from an official source.

This is getting some significant play on other fora.

Perhaps Moto is fooling all of us and those flashing this latest version are the "SOAK TESTERS".

BTW, does the term "soak test" have bad connatations for anyone?  Am I the only one thinking Moto is all wet?
