The OTA update was supposed to fix the issue of allowing a file greater than 5mb to be attached to emails. After the update, I still can't attach a file greater than 5mb. Will this issue get corrected soon?

huh...i sure thought that 1.2 mb was the limit with version 2.1. anyhow....if your main reason is to upload dieos to fb then get QIK!!!! i never had much luck emailing video to fb (never knew if they got through, and if they had, how long it would take fb to post them) so i got the app QIK. it is BY FAR the most used and useful app i have on this thing. it immediately streams the video to fb (i'm talking seconds!!! as near to live streaming as it gets). you install QIK, set up an account on their site, and link it to fb. it seriously took me 5 minutes to do all of this and start posting video to fb immediately. i've been using it for 4 months and only had a couple problems. once, it was having trouble uploading to QIK and once it was uploading fine but then having trouble posting the upload to fb. in both cases i uninstalled and reinstalled (took about 1 minute) and it fixed the issue. GREAT app!

This is not actually an issue. Everything is working as designed after the MR release.

I disagree. The pdf for the update states that the update will allow attachments greater than 5gig. I still can't attach files greater than 5gig, so this is an issue.

I have never been able to send an attachment using HTC Mail. I have tried to send a simple 1mb picture and it gets stuck in the outbox. I receive multiple of the test mail, but with partial attachments like 150kb, etc.
I am so frustrated with calling VZW tech support, who have ZERO knowledge of how to troubleshoot. I have to wait on the phone while they read through internal notes. They can't do anything with these Android phones, they just send me to HTC, who tell are more useless and while looking at their notes tell me multiple times about the support.htc.com site for info.
Get this fixed, and cut the back peddling crap, where you change the notes of the update, which alternatively has {word filter avoidance} up the functionality of multiple users!!!!

A little update:
I replied to an email this morning. They recieved a duplicate, then the seccond reply the recieved 4 duplicates...
I have been on the phone with PCD, which HTC told me to call. This is after VZW tx me to HTC. I couldn't even send the guy an attachment - just stuck in my outbox.
I decided to turn on WIFI while the email with attachment was still sitting in the Outbox forever and bam the email sent. I sent some more emails with attachments over WIFI and no problems what so ever.
Problem narrowed down to cant send attachments using HTC mail/Exchange server with 3G, eventhough I have full bars(signal). ANNOYING!!!!
VERIZON - YOU WANT TO FIX THIS?? Whats the point of the phone if data doesn't allow for sending attachments?

I just got off the pohone with VZW tech support. I finally got a tech guy who was actually interested in troubleshooting!!! The guy setup my Exchange account on one of their test Droid Incredibles and was able to successfully send attachments. There must be something defective with my phone. The guy is sending me a replacement Incredible.

Glade to hear your issue is getting resolved. Unfortunetly it looks like Verizon decided to update the November Update document by removing the 5gig limit fix instead of fixing the issue itself. Pretty poor move Verizon. Thats very disappointing.

Still not resolved, but at least progress.
Got my replacement and have the same problem.
I spent a bunch of time troubleshooting, by disabling just about everything except mail and still cant send attachments.
I successfully send a handfull of attachments today up to 5MB when I was connected to a VZW tower with 3G signal.
As soon as I got home, I once again cannot send attachments.
At home we have a 3G network extender, and I can confidently say that it's a problem with the network extender as ONLY when I am under network extender coverage I cannot send any attachment!!!
...Waiting on hold to speak to VZW about this. I have to say this is the 2nd 3G exterder as the 1st one failed after a week. We do have to reset this extender every other week as it just stops working. I also have noticed that my exchange account has trouble keeping up to date ONLY under network extender coverage.

When the phone had 2.1, there was no limit to the attachments. When it was updated to 2.2, email attachments had a limit. The initial pdf of the update said the 5mb file restriction was resolved. I guess Verizon now changed the wording that the cap was created in this release. Why was this cap implemented? This really hampers the multimedia ability of this phone. I can no longer record a video and post directly to facebook via their upload email address.

I finally got a call this evening from NRB, telling me that a patch was made to fix upload speeds and whatever else. He wanted me to test to makr sure my NE had been updated. I can now successfuly send attachments while under NE coverage. Finally the 3G NE works properly and I am getting great speeds 1250/1050. A huge improvement. Now, lets bring on a release date for the Thunderbolt!
