My droid would connect via Wifi to my home router, ONLY ONCE, and then after sleeping or returning to the area would not re-connect until I booted my router. I have been trying different settings without finding a long lasting fix since I purchased it a month ago. I finally changed my router security setting from WPA-PSK[TKIP] to WPA2-PSK[AES] and it's been working great for the past three days!!!

Actually that's a good thing that you changed from TKIP to AES, as WPA-TKIP encryption has been broken for about 2 months now. WPA with TKIP can be hacked in 1 or 2 minutes now. (Not WPA2 using TKIP, however.) WPA with AES is still secure, only WPA with TKIP has been cracked.
