Flash Motorola Droid back to Verizon.

Hello, I have just acquired a Motorola Droid 1 that was originally from Verizon, but was flashed to cricket. How can I flash it back to Verizon. Could I do it myself or do I have to take it somewhere special? Thank you in advance.

No, I have not tried anything on the phone yet, but I have read those forums and they do not have any posts dealing with this. Could I take it to Verizon to ask them? Or will they not even try? Thanks in advance.

Viivtodo, look for a Private Message (PM) yellow envelope at the top of the website.

You will need to flash whatever version the Droid is on or the newer version to revert back to Verizon.  So if 2.2 rom is installed you need to use RSDLite to put 2.2 or newer rom on top.  Make sure you factory reset prior to flashing.  More information can be found on ModMyMobile(used to be ModMyMoto).

Thank you all for your replies. I have tried RSD lite and it always fails when sending the RAM to the Bootlader. 😕 What do you mean factory reset prior to flashing?

After hours of trying multiple things, I have finally been able to get Verizon signal. The solution was flashing the baseband to a previous one, then back to the newest one. When I turned on the phone, it asked me to activate it. I proceeded to see what it would do, cause it usually went to Cricket activation, but this time it had the Verizon music. As expected, it didn't activate because I have not put the ESN on my account, but I certainly hope that is the fix. Thank you for all of your help and your support, it is greatly appreciated.
