Folder fails to open

I have a folder that fail to open unless i reboot

It will not open the second time

What app are you attempting to open the folder with and what type of files are in the folder because it sounds like you may a corrupt file..

You beat me by seconds.  Yes it does indeed sound like there is possibly a corrupt file in the folder.

Could you be a little more descriptive of the situation?  Such as what app you are using, and what kind of folder you are attempting to open.
