With all the previous issues that 2.3.4 wrought, it seemed prudent to wait before rushing into the upgrade. Does anyone know if there is a way to eliminate the constant reminders that the upgrade has been downloaded and is ready for install since many of us are not interested in pursuing this option considering all that is going on for a 2nd time?

If the update has been downloaded already the update will continue notifing you about the installation and also if you dont power device down at night you may have the installation complete on its own during the night...
The only solution I see that may work is to contact the CS and have them disable the update push and then hard reset the device to remove update date.
