Force LTE-only Mode?

Is there any secret way to force LTE-only mode like on the Thunderbolt? I'm in a fringe area and feel like my phone is dropping down to 3G (which has terrible speeds in my area) unnecessarily.

 

I hope it's not something that is made impossible by the usage of Samsung's own LTE chip (CMC220).

I think I saw an article that mentioned something. Go to Settings > wireless & networks > mobile settings. The was a option for mobile type in there. Hopefully it will help.

Nope.  It's either "LTE Automatic" or "CDMA only"
