Will the Droid X work with Ford Sync? I can't seem to get it paired with my car.

Working fine here with the Sync in my 2010 Taurus. From what I remember you have to be quick about entering the Bluetooth password but other than that it works great!

One of the main problems with Driod and Ford Sync is that when you try to pair the phones, Ford Sync automatically selects a 6-digit PIN number. When it appears, you can turn the tuning knob on some models and it will say Special PIN, hit OK, and put in 0000. Then go to your Droid and have it find Sync, then enter the 0000 PIN. You may choose to download the phone book (or sometimes its better to do it later). You should pair up a whole lot better. Also, watch for the phone Bluetooth messages that come back and ask "Do you want to maintain the connection with SYNC?" Be sure to select "Always." then your phone can always be discovered by Sync.
