For the past two months, I've experienced significant signal and connection loss with my X2.
I've been with Verizon for about 5 years and my X2 is my 3rd Verizon phone. I've never had connection issues in the past with any other phone, no matter how old.
My X2 is about 9 months old and usually has good, if not consistent, 3G or at least 4 bars. However, since June, my phone would drop from 3G or a 1 bar connection in seconds and remain there. Just this evening, I've gone from full 3G to grayed-out connection 3 times without me moving the phone from it's current location. I've just noticed that I've missed two calls because of this. This condition has increased in frequency in the past two months and now concerned that there is something else going on.
I've cleared out several old applications, double checked the updates on the software, and have rebooted it several times. Rebooting will get me to Blue 3 bars, not always 3G.
Has anyone else experienced this situation? Are there any known fixes? It is frustrating to change phones because it is dependent on the reliability of the replacement.
I'm in Orange County, CA, in the Cal State Fullerton area.
Many thanks.
