I KEEP HEARING ABOUT PUTTING YOUR PHONE TO SLEEP. HOW DO YOU PUT THE MOTOTROLA DROID TO SLEEP?

I CANT FIGURE IT OUT CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN PLZ.......

I think the most it can "Go to sleep" is standby mode where the screen goes off by hitting the power button once.  Otherwise, I would add the power control widget and use that to turn off WiFi, Bluetooth, and Sync with a few touches, and it will use the least amount of power.  I don't think it can literally sleep because it still needs to receive calls.

Your phone should "sleep" when the screen locks, unless your running something like "music" or some other application that you may have installed that wont let it sleep.

 

Setting -> About --> Status --> scroll to bottom. Your "awake time" ticker should be low, mine is 13%. If your seeing a high percent, close to sat 100%, then you've either been playing with your phone NON-STOP or you have a bad application running.
