I would like to try and get a GPS appl on my Droid similar to the handheld Garmin units
I need to create waypoints save them and be able to send them etc
Have tried GPS Essential appl but no response from them on how to work it
Tried one other appl but that only allowed me to create 3 waypoints that is not enough
Any advice? Thanks

Have you tried the stock Google Maps app, the Navigation app has a number of features and sounds like it can do what you are looking for (And best part it is free on Android device).... Check it out if you haven't already I think you will be surprised..

Yea, I have to agree with @Wildman .. The native google NAVIGATION app is really nice. I had used Verizon's Navigator on my previous phone, but at $10/mo. was crazy expensive for the amount of times I used it. The native NAV app has the ability to set "STARRED" places so you can just bring them back up. Also, along with Voice Commands makes it very user friendly.

I too used to use VZ Navigator all the time, but as Cody says $9.99/mo is really expensive. Now I use Google Nav. I use it quite a bit.... not every day but really like it. Also I find the Voice Search works really well also.
