Has anyone got the Incredible 2 unlocked yet? (Subsidy code unlock). I would be interested to know if the GSM bands can be used in the US or if, like the Droid 2 Global and Droid Pro, there is a carrier lock preventing this.
Thanks

Yes, you can get it unlocked as long as you have been a customer more the 30 days and your account is in good standing order.
This will allow the use of European and Asian based GSM services, unfortunately, it's still blocked from using US based sim cards so AT&T, T-Mobile etc will not work on the phone.

Thanks. With the Global and the Pro, it's not so much the SIM card that matters, more attempting to use a US carrier in the US. Thus a UK SIM still won't work in the US, whereas an AT&T SIM will work abroad. I would guess then that it's the same with the Droid Incredible 2.
Pity.
