Gallery missing picasa web albums

My original droid was able to show picasa web albums in the gallery, and now the gallery is dumbed down to where it doesn't do that anymore.
What happened? What is the point in putting a picasa login other than for sharing photos?

Try accessing the account with the following steps. Hope this helps!
- From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located at the bottom of the display).
- Touch Gallery.
- Touch a gallery (e.g. All photos).
Touch and hold a photo.
- Touch Share.
From the Caption field, enter a caption.
From the Account field, touch the drop down menu.
Touch an account.Depending upon account setup, additional accounts may appear.
.Depending upon setup, additional albums may appear.
To create a new album, touch the + symbol.
From the Enter album title field, enter a title.- Touch one of the following options then touch Create:
- Public
- Unlisted
- Touch Upload.

- Bookmark
- Subscribe
- Mute
- Subscribe to RSS Feed

This is the same person that started this thread -- but that's not the problem I was reporting.
On my original droid, I could VIEW my photos on my Picasa web gallery through the gallery app. I'm NOT talking about just uploading photos.
Could you put this on a list somewhere to add back, as the stock gallery app in froyo had this feature.

Same problem, Picasa Web albums not visible on Droid 2. I have Gallery 2.2. My wife has original Droid w/Gallery 1.1 and she can see her web albums on her Droid. I'm hoping Verizon didn't decide to block to save bandwidth...that would be super sad.
