I have followed instructions to the letter but cannot pair my Droid X with my Ford Edge vehicle SYNC bluetooth. My wife has LG Ally and we paired this phone with no problem.
Also, I have paired the Droid X with my Motorola T305 bluetooth device with no problem.
Check HERE for additional information for car pairing for your Ford Edge. You will need to select your car model and year to get a list of compatible devices.
