Giant Clock & Weather on Home page & Facebook Notifications

Question

Can someone PLEASE help me?

I have had my Incredible for 2 days & have yet to figure out how to:

1.)  Remove the Clock & Weather from the home page.

2.)  Does anyone else have issues with getting notifications from Facebook?  I have them turned on... But can only see them if I go into FB & look at my profile.

Is there a way to make the Clock  & Weather disappear?   What is the point of a wallpaper if you can't see it??

Is there something special I have to do about the FB thing?

I feel I'm pretty Tech Savvy but for the life of me I can't figure this out.

As for the clock and weather, press and hold on the clock until a green box shows up around it and drag it to the bottom of the screen.

Open the Facebook app. Click on MENU>SETTINGS  Make sure Notifications is marked and what you want to be notified about.
