am I missing the date on when this will happen, I've read it over a few time and dont see a date

It hasn't started yet. VZ has just changed the software update page. They also usually never release a date until the day of the release or the day before.

Here's another one. I "liked" the Inc 2 on Facebook, and saw this in my news feed today. The article doesn't give a date ... *hopes* for next week, but that doesn't mean anything.

I was just going to say July 11 too. Thunderbolt get some update today.

Thanks to everyone who responded. You can find the link for the software update on the Thunderbolt here . Please note that this is not an update to the Gingerbread software, but a firmware update of the device. For Thunderbolt owners, since the update will go out in stages, your phone will notify you when you can perform the update.
