Gingerbread update- screen is freezing

Ever since I got the Gingerbread update, my phone has been behaving oddly. When I push the power button to turn off the display, the screen won't respond. And sometimes I just barely bump the button and it asks if I want to shut down the phone. When I try to "wake" the phone by pressing the power button it won't wake up. (The LED light isn't flashing!) But if I plug it into the USB charger the phone wakens immediately. Can someone please explain why my phone is so difficult to use now? It take 10-20 tries just to wake the screen to use it!

From the way it sounds there are things that are'nt working together since you updated your phone an to me it probably won't get better. so i would suggest doing a Factory Reset an the reason for that. it will clean your phone an get rid of any possible suspects thats causing your screen freeze an other issues that you're presenting.
- There are few things to remember you'll have to:
- Back up your contacts
- write down your unsaved apps or get an app that saves unpaid apps if you have many to save
- an when the Fr is completed you'll have to re-enter your Google & other accounts you have in your phone .
Give this a try an see if this clears up your issue your haveing it may or may not but Hopefully it will as U said it sounds like there are a few things not working together after the update an doing the Fr may be what it needs.
If you have not done one before Teck services can go thru the steps with you or go to your local Corperate store an they can do it there an should be able to back up your contacts for you as well. Good luck an let us know if this helped fix the Issue. B33
