I have a Droid 2 Global smart phone. I received a text the other day, and went to answer it. By trying to slide the envelope down my phone fell out of my hand. It didn't break or anything, but it did get stuck on the lock mode and the silent slide came up also. Is there anyway to get it to unlock or work so I can answer the calls or texts I receive w/ out having to file a claim for 99 dollars. The phone doesn't look broke at all, but can't get it out of the locked mode to be able to use it. If anyone have any ideas I'm game to listen to them. Don't/can't afford the 99 dollars the insurance company wants to replace my droid, it isn't even broke. Surely they would have a simple tactic to repair it w/ out having to lose a non broken phone, they would just turn around and sell to someone else.

TigsnUnis, I know how it feels to have a device that you can't fully use. If you dropped your phone, this would be the cause of the lock button being stuck and we would not have a solution to fix it. Although, its doesn't look physically damaged on the outside, it is probably broken internally. We are always here to help and we can take a look at the phone if you were to visit a corporate store in your area but would do simple troubleshooting. For instance, removing the battery for 1-2 minutes and if that doesn't work, you will need to call Asurion to file a insurance claim at 1- 888-881-2622 or via their website http://www.phoneclaim.com/verizon-deductible .
