For those who use gmail for email on the Droid X, can I get my contacts that I have entered into the desktop Gmail app(the one I use when I am on my desktop at home), into my cellphone Droid X gmail?
Thank you for any help,
Debra

Contacts are automatically synced with your gMail account so the contacts on your device should be also on your desktop and reverse, if for some reson they are not the go to My Account /gMail account name and check all options to have them sync.

Thanks I cannot figure out how to pull up contacts on my phone under gmail. I must be missing something. i hav looked under settings within gmail, and "more" within gmail and do not see contacts anywhere. I see contacts in the desktop app when I am on my desktop at home.
Any other ideas?

There is a contacts area on the email page, the contacts are listed like all other contacts in your account.

Thanks to all who replied. I have hereby deserted gmail due to the lack of contacts support that I could never pull up, and will use yahoo email on my Droid X as it pulls up my contacts from my phone contacts(with email addresses) and will be better for me to use on this Droid X for any email needs I have.
Thanks again, Debra

You WILL NOT FIND YOUR GOOGLE CONTACTS OR ANY OF THOSE SETTINGD WITHIN THE GMAIL APP. Just forget about looking in there for the contacts. Period.
The X's (as well as all the Android phones, I believe) default contact app is where you will find the contacts that sync with Gmail. Every time I set up an X or a Droid, I set up the Google account and the contacts within my desktop gmail account are automatically
synced. It's not difficult, it's not magic or voodoo. To check, go to "settings" (the PHONE'S settings, NOT gmail!), "accounts", and select the google account (where your gmail account is listed). Once in there, you will see the options to sync your gmail, your contacts, and your Google calender. Check all that you will use (i checked gmail and contacts, I don't have a calender set up yet).
So easy, a caveman could do it! BUT, if this doesn't work for you for some reason, post here and we can try again.
