I show that I have three messages in my inbox. When I attempt to read the messages, I come back to the listing of my inbox showing three messages.
When I attempt to delete the email, by taking long touch, then selecting delete, I get the following message, "Sorry! The application Mail (processcom.htc.android.mail) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." There's a Force Close and cannot do anything with the emails.
I have used a PC to log into my GMail account and verify the emails are not there.

On you incredible you can 1 to 2 things
1. Go to Gmail open it , Hit menu then Refresh
2. Hit Menu >settings > Applications >Manage Applications > Clear Cache/ Data Force Close
Hit the Home button an then reopen Gmail an see how it works if it Ok then its fixed
B33, thanks for the wonderful suggestions. All the steps you listed are correct in trying to resolve the voice mail/ message issue. I would also like to add a step that is used to correct minor issues, remove the battery from your phone for 1-2 minutes to perform a soft reset.
