Going to be new customer, droid X

so im about to jump off this crappy network, since i have sooo much HATRED towards apple products, i dont know what it is, i guess i was just never a fan in the 1st place, im a windows user, so anyways i had the HTCHD2 unlocked, got drunk 1 night got into a fight with my Gf and it broke, so anywho, im going to be getting the new Droid X i called up best buy and they stopped taking orders for the droid X, i guess ill have to show up on the 15th and hopefully get lucky, i have to give a $400 deposit to sign up which i get back in a year(thank god) so i my question is, how much will everything be out the door. im thinking

deposit: $400 + phone $200 = $600? do i get the rebate right away? or is it one of those mail in rebates things? i want to know how much it will be out the door once i sign a 2 year contract with you guys, and im hoping i wont be disapointed. {word filter avoidance} im glad to join a network with no apple crap included. 07

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that you will have to do the Mail-in rebate. Sooo.. deposit + $300 I would assume.

I hope someone corrects me if I am wrong.

I would simply order online if you want the instant rebate (Not to mention... I always tend to put things off and send it in last minute if at all...) But I guess they feed off people like me hahaha.. :smileytongue:

But yeah, you will have a deposit + $300. Stores give you mail in rebate. You can do it online and get that rebate instantly, personally, I have great experience with online shopping. Anyways.... Welcome to the best network and hope you enjoy the service and your new device.

thanks for all your replies, i really dont want to order online, since ill have to wait to get it shipped and im always at work and possibly wont be home to pick it up, i dont want them leaving the package in front of my door since i live in a co-op house. i'd rather get it in store so i can have it right then and there, if you know wat i mean.. as long as i get my $100 from my rebate back in a few days, and NOT a month. so it'll be $700 out the door? im not really worried about it, since i know for a fact that i wont be disapointed with this device. but if they are all sold out in stores ill just go head and order online and have it shipped to my home i guess, thanks for your replies and i cant wait to join this network. thanks

If you go to Best Buy you will not have a rebate to send in so it will be $200, if you go to a vzw store then you will get a rebate!!!

Good Luck and after the iphone 4 issues I dont blame you for jumping ship! I have a friend who is just furious about it and will be jumping ship to Vzw come August when his contract is up!!!

Mail in Rebates are not processed in days. Expect to wait 6-8 weeks for any rebate to be processed and returned to you. While it may come sooner, that would only be a bonus.

Thanks for your replies, i dont get my check till the 19th and i really hope ill still be able to get one on the 19th, i hope they dont run out and ill have to wait FOREVER to wait for one... any thoughts?
