Google Maps no longer and option from my Contacts

All of a sudden when I click the icon to get a map for one of my contact addresses, the only options I get are for VZ Navigator and it requires me to sign up for the monthly service. It used to ask me if I wanted to use Google Maps or VZ Navigator. Must be a setting but I can not find. Did a search in the forum and didn't see this so hoping someone can assist me.

Try slearing the default app by going to Settings - Applications - Manage Applications - All Tab - VZ Navigator - Clear Default, after this it should prompt you with selection.

Do you have the latest build of Google Maps installed, it should be 5.2.1.... If not then I would go to market and download update.

I did update to the latest version as you suggested but the problem exists. Even before the upgrade I did, I could open and use Google Maps on it's own. The problem I'm having is that when I click to get a map of an address from inside contacts, I no longer get the option to select Google Maps rather than VZ Navigator. All I get are options that require me to sign up for VZ Navigator.

I was updating my contacts in Gmail all day today and I must have changed a setting (my guess). Just can't figure it out. Appreciate any help. Thanks much, Cathy W.

Just open market and if a update is available it should show the option...
