I turn on the GPS receivers and will enter in my desied location but it will rarely get past "Waiting for location" and never get past "Getting driving directions".
It doesn't matter if I'm in my house or on the highway or at awork. At work I am in a metro area so I should be getting something! This feature is the deal breaker for me. If it cant be resolved the phone will go back.
Please help.
I don't know that both options are needed, but did you go into menu - settings location and security, and check both [use GPS satellites, and Enable assisted GPS]?
I used my navigation this morning just to see if it was accurate and it worked great.
To ensure the Droid 2 can pick up your location, I would recommend checking the GPS settings like pool_shark suggested. I have given a link on checking these options below:

**Be sure that both “Use wireless networks” and “Enable Assisted GPS” are checked for a more accurate location.

I read that some apps grab the gps and cause this, advanced task killer was mentioned. I unistalled almost all of my 3rd party apps and it worked.
