Google Voice txting not making a notification sound while talking on the phone

Does anyone else have the problem when you recieve a new txt message on google voice, you don't get any kind of notification sound while talking on the phone? The only way I ever get notified is if I turn the screen back on and see the google voice widget new txt message. I have tried different things to no avail. On my old nonsmart phone, I had regular txting and it always notified me with a beep every few minutes until I checked the txt message. Is there a way to do that at all with the charge and google voice? Thanks.

Are you in an LTE area or on wifi? If you're on 3G, you won't get the notification since it doesn't support simultaneous voice and data over 3G.

It's on 4G LTE :smileyhappy: I am getting all of the txt messages, except I am not recieving any sound notification when I am on a call. Do any of the verizon employees or techs have any suggestions? Everything is all set up correctly, and it notifies me with a sound just fine as long as I am not on a call.

May just be that Google voice doesn't support it. I know some apps like handcent gives you an option of what it does if you're on a call.

Yeah I was thinking it might not, but my friend who has an iphone uses google voice for txts and it works on the iphone. Just can't understand why it won't work on the charge. Does anyone here use google voice for txts on the charge and not get sound notifications when on the phone?
