Grainy Photos with Camera with 2.2?

Hey guys/gals,

I am wondering if anyone else has noticed if their camera is taking very grainy pictures with the 2.2 upgrade. My cameral used to output very good quality pictures, but it seems that the pictures are very grainy and rough looking now.  I have tried every setting there is to see if it would get better and it has not. Also it seems to take BETTER pictures, although still bad with the button on the phone versus the touch button on the screen. Anyone else notice this?

Hey...so, try to change the picture resolution from "widescreen" to 8mp.  And....i think you're feeling some plecebo effect on the button vs screen touch thing.  there can't possibly be a difference in the photos based on what button you press.

Good luck

My pics have always come out grainy and with the upgrade they are even worse; totally dull and lifeless.  I played with all the settings and the only size that they look fairly decent in is in the 3mp.  My sister-in-law and I took pictures of the same exact things with my X and her Epic, hers came out much brighter and crisp.  My pictures look grey compared to hers.  I'm going to call customer service to see what they say.

what they won't tell you is the camera on the droid x is horrible and takes lousy pictures.  Unless of  course you are in a well lit setting.  there is a tiny sensor on this phone.

I have been extremely dissapointed in the ammount of noise on the photos...they look ok on the DX screen but aweful printed and outputed to my PC.

Unfortunately on mine it does not even look good on the DX screen.  It's absolutely horrible.  I mean the phone has great features I'm not complaining but  I love taking pictures at the spur of the moment and with this I'm not even inspired to try.  I had mentioned on another post the pics on this phone remind me of a Samsung flip phone I had like 9 or 10 years ago, that's how bad it is.
