HELP ME, before I activate my re-furbished Moto Droid

So, Verizon just sent me a re-furbished Droid because the one I've had since November has started freezing on me and shutting down at least once a day for not apparent reason.  When it's frozen the only thing to do is remove the battery.  Before I activate this thing I want to make sure that I'm doing the right thing.  I'm not sure if I should deal with the issue on my current phone or activate the like new phone.  I'm a little weary about it since I've heard people complaining about their refurbished phones.  Also, will I have to download all of my apps again on the new phone or are my settings saved on the memory card?

You'll probably need to download all of the programs again, since they're stored in the phone's memory and not the SD card. As for whether or not you should take the refurb or use your existing phone, I honestly have no idea what would be best. I guess it's a 50-50 shot.

go ahead and activate the "new" phone.  refurbished phones are fixed of all bugs but because they have been previously used cannot be sold as such, as you may have already known.

yes, there are people who complained about refurbished phones, but there have been who have had new phones and have issues.

there have been over 1 million phones sold and only a handful of complaints. eventually some phones will be bad but we are talking what? 1% or less than that.

for the money you are spending on your droid, why accept something less than perfect? and this is what you will be doing if you revert back to your old phone.

your purchased apps can be retrieved by syncing with your google account, just simple tapping of the email. but the free ones you will have to search for again.
