HTC Incredible 2 died, all of a sudden

My daughter was holding her HTC Incredible 2 in her hand and all of a sudden it "died". It will not power up, it will not charge, it is dead. As a Verizon employee, VZW store does not even answer any questions. Has anyone else experienced such an event recently?

My phone also just all of the sudden died last week. It was not dropped and there's no water damage. Since it was a replacement for my incredible, even though it was brand new and not a refurb, VZW told me that it took over the remaining warranty on my previous phone, which of course has expired. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of help. It does not make sense at all. How does a phone that is only 9 months old just die?

A lot of inc2 stop charging, my guess is the usb is placed poorly or just weak/cheap

As far as replacements from verizon you have your original one year or 90 days which ever is greater

how does a phone that is just over a month old just die? that's what my phone just did. same problem.

Exact same issue yesterday. Was reading Facebook, force closed, home screen was stuck. Battery pull did nothing, so I did a factory reset (as I've had to do MANY times with this phone) and it froze during the reset. I tried to reboot and it died entirely. Took it to the store today, and as expected, it's out of warranty - this was my 2nd Incredible 2 since the first had a bad charging port - and offered to do my upgrade for a new phone several months early or sell me a refurbished phone.

Of course, either option would mean losing my unlimited data plan. I'm so irritated. I don't want to both spend money I didn't need to until next MAY for a new phone, and if I do, I don't want to end up on a worse plan to do so.  Horrible service, contemplating looking for a new provider.

My htc incredible 2 also died.  I've had phone for 6 months, but since it replaced my Samsung, my 1 year warranty has expired.  My upgrade is not for another 4 months either.  VZ store could do nothing but tell me to call Customer Care.  CC offered to send me a new battery for my phone and if my phone will not come back on, my only choice is to get a new phone.

I've read other posts and have tried the suggestion of factory reset, alternate method, ,this does not work either!!!  AAAgh, so frustrating!!

I have so many things stored on this phone, how do I get them off?

mh508 - Reading your experience, I'm sure, reminds us all of a particular electronic device that just stopped working for no rhyme or reason. That's never bueno. Did we send out a replacement battery out to you? Were you able to power on your Incredible 2? Also what type of content were you trying to retrieve from your device?
