I have been on a lot of forums, and I'm trying to get this calendar issue fixed for all you and me. This thread is for Verizon support.
When I go to all programs, and then I open the calendar app (it came with the phone) When I try to create a birthday for my friends (or any yearly event), the yearly repetition doesn't work. I did April 29th 2011 and had it repeat every year. in 2012 2013 and 2014 the calendar event comes up as april 28th not the 29th.
Also, when i edit a calendar event, if i go to edit the name for example and i go back to edit it, it will start multiplying events, for example, if i added an event on april 1st, and i edit the name once it was already saved, it will save my name edit and also it will put the same event for april 2nd. if i try to delete april 2nds even then it will move itseld to april 3rd. its a never ending battle. If i try to fix the date on the calendar event, if i correct it to april 1st on pop up screen where it lets me chose the date, once i click ok it will show march 30th.
Also, when i go to people list, and i click on someone, and i press edit, and then add something under events for example "birthday" if i put june 1st as a bday, it keeps displaying may 31st. If i put may 31st, it will go to may 30, if i put april 5th it will go to april 4th.
im not the only one having calendar issues:

Same issue with the calendar here, but not just recurring events. Could be an event created online, then edited on the Incredible. Date seems to move forward automatically by opening the even for editing.

@djg
Yes thats part of the issue also, all you have to do is open an event and it will change the date making it difficult or impossible to change it to the correct date.

Thank you for doing this. I use my calendar for work and many other things. It needs to be reliable.
This isnt much of a smartphone if you have to log onto a computer to enter dates in a calendar
to have it posted correctly in your calendar even though you cant edit it either.
Its been very fustrating. Im ready to take my phone back. Im glad for these blogs
Im hoping very much that HTC, Google and Verizon hear these.

@TUG
Your welcome. I have tried to contact HTC and got nothing, verizon on twitter and got nothing, and now im trying to email verizon. The phone is a great phone, but this issue is too big to not be resolved. i have had this phone since april 29 and i thought this issue would be resolved by now. I have tried to reset my phone to factory settings and wiped everything off and i thought that was going to be the answer but it didnt work.
ill keep trying to get this resolved for all of us.

HI all,
I did receive a reply back on this from HTC support. They said that this is actually an issue with the Android software rather than the device and that they are looking into it. In the meantime, they suggested that we should try saving events with a time limit rather than as an all day event.
Hope this helps.

It was pretty funny, i got an answer from the email i sent to verizon...
"i have provided the steps below for editing and deleting an event"
i send the person the same information as provided on my first post, pretty much copied and pasted, do u think they even looked past the second sentence?
