I can't access the internet, use any of my apps that require the internet, etc. Etc. Etc. This happened all day yesterday too. I am sitting within 30 feet of a wireless router that I have access to, and am in a the center of a large city where my "wonderful" Verizon internet capable phone should be able to get a signal. (By the way I have tried the "My Verizon Mobile" and got the network error message n that too. For a phone that is costing me a small fortune, it would be really nice is I could access my email and keep in touch with my contacts.
The only time this phone worked yesterday at all was when I was at home in the evening (when I really didn't need it to work) where I could use my laptop.

I would make sure the mobile network is on by go to MENU>SETTINGS< WIRELESS & NETORKS
Scroll down and make sure MOBILE NETWORK IS checkmarked.
Also call *228 and choose option 1 and see if that corrects the issue.

My made sure that my Mobile Network was checked and also called *228 and chose option 1. No change at all, I still get the message that a network error has occurred.

OK follow these instruction to place the phone in safe mode and see if it works. If not you may need a master reset. But if you have had the phone less than 30 days, I would go baclk and exchange for a new phone.
It also could be something was not set up correctly when the phone was activated. I have an Alltel plan and when I re-activate my phone, the settings are never correct and I have to manually change them. So if you can, call 800-922-0204 and choose option 3 (tech support) from the menu tree. But you must call from another phone so tech support can help diagnose the issue.

Heres how to fix the issue -
take the phone turn it off and pop the battery off.
If you have another phone start it up and do *228
put THIS old phone on your line.. this is called an esn switch
Then take that phone and turn it off and pop the battery out.
So right now - both phones off n no battery in either.
Then put battery in the incredible and turn on *228
put it back to your number n let it activate and the network
will be reconfigured. You will have 3g.
If you dont have an old phone to use you can have the vzw service
rep use a test dummy esn - then do the switch for you.
ITS WORKED FOR ME WITH ALL MY PHONES
