Handcent and Stock

After reading so much about Handcent, I downloaded it.  Not bad, but I'm getting two notifications for each text message.  I've set Handcent to be used as default, but there's probably some other setting I'm missing.  How do I get text messages to go through Handcent only?

Easy, easy, easy, Loyd.

Go to the stock app and go to settings. Disable ALL the notifications there. It will still get messages, but you will never know about it.

BTW, great response to LJ who hated his X. I hope he listens...

Thanks Gerio!  It worked.  I knew it was something simple...just couldn't think of it.
