Hello all I have a factor that I still haven't seen posted on any of the websites that maybe might help with your Android phone.. I've own the Moto Droid since the first day it came out. I ran into a few problems like some others due to the fact I didn't read the manual or the warning of applications after you set them to default. So clearly my fault.. First mistake I've download a Virus protection..Bad move! Our phones don't need virus protection being that they are a stand alone os or however you want to call it..upon scanning my virus protection pick up a virus..very weird on a new phone...so I removed the threat. Phone clean afterward but then I ran into a problem after that...instant messages dubbling and freezing the phone and I was unable to lock my phone by pressing the power button. I've resetted the phone numerous times, installed and uninstalled all programs, scan the memory card with my computer and card adapter for other virus and still nothing. So I return it to Verizon. They gave me a new Droid and I checked everything before I left the store..Power button/ Lock worked great, no glitches whatsoever until I logged into my google account and "Whamo"... Same problems all over..So then I realized that your phone backs everything up to your google account.. So knowing this I resetted my phone again and then made a New google account and sync everything to the new..Everything worked like clock work..no problems..but 1..How am I going to get my apps that I purchased with my other account..well I just used my new account as my primary and my old as my secondary..This worked pretty good except I still wasn't able to get all my apps I've paid for but It made me realize that all the glitches aren't in the phone but also could be with your google account and it's constantly being re sync to your phone..So I hope my long winded story can help a few people.. look at your settings in your Google email if you have tried all others..Jimmy

WOW, I was getting ready to download virus protection, then I read your post, THANK YOU!!! for saving me from the aggravation that you went thru!!!!!
That's a bummer about your apps, here is what I would do, if the cost of the apps is not worth the trouble that you went thru then I would I just purchased them again. But if the cost is more than the price of the aggravation then you need to continue to seek an answer for your problem, but if it was me, I would write them off.
I am curious though, how much are we talking about here?
Good luck and thank you for the very valuable information!!!!!
