Having trouble getting my email from my YAHOO account

Is anyone else having this problem?  I can't get my email from my yahoo acount to download to my phone.  This started one week ago,  It acts like it is trying to connect but eventually says the network is not available.  I've got a fully charged phone with a 4G connection.  I can get to FB or my gmail account or surf the web.  I've tried to connect from various places other than home and it does the same thing.  I don't know if this is a Verizon issue or Yahoo issue.  Any ideas?

Thanks!

Are you using the default email application or the Yahoo application to get your Yahoo email?

A few months ago, Yahoo did some server changes that caused a lot of people to have issues with getting emails from Yahoo on their phones. It was also about the same time as when the Yahoo mail application was released for Android OS.

Perhaps can provide some additional information.

I noticed a few issues off and on during the Yahoo Mail update process but I haven't had any issues with none of my 3 Yahoo Accounts...

Have you tried removing the account and adding it back because some servers security settings gets updated from time to time when work is done to network server, the best way to resolve sometimes is to remove and then add it back and allow the server to verify your device again.  If this does not seem to resolve the issue you may want to try K9 email app on market to see if it helps.... This way you can identify if its a software issue.

bradbev,

Welcome to the community! Thanks to everyone for the help. I do agree that adding and removing the Yahoo! e-mail account is the best first step to get this resolved. Below I have the steps to remove and re-add the account.

Remove a Personal Email Account

Add a Personal Email Account

Thank you!
