I have had my DROID for 5 months and I love it.
THE only realy problem I have had is the occasional deletion of all my text messages, usually after the messaging Force Closes on me. I always figured it was because I had too many saved and there was a storage problem...
But TODAY it started deleting the text messages almost as fast as I got them! How am I supposed to know what the LOL was for when there is no previous message from 1/2 hour ago???
WHAT is wrong? why do they keep deleting?
There seems to be people reporting similar issues on various android devices but no really solution. Are you just using the stock messaging app? Some people have reported that using an app like Handcent SMS has helped. Just remember to disable notifications in the stock messaging app so you don't get duplicate notifications on incoming messages. Also there's an app called SMS Backup & Restore that you can set to auto-backup your sms (currently no mms support) to your sd card nightly. Won't really help if the phone is deleting them as they come though.
Yea same thing happened to me this moving at 6:32am.
